Following the culmination of the initial Champions League group stage under the new format, we’re left with just 24 teams. There’s still a long way to go - but who are the favourites at this stage?

Champions League Outright Predictions

For the very first time, on the eve of January the 29th 2025, we saw the final round of the first Champions League group stage under the new format.

This initial group stage culminated with all 36 teams playing at the same time, with some big names like Manchester City and PSG still uncertain to progress. We had 18 fixtures playing simultaneously, in which 64 goals were scored.

Once the games were over, we were going to know which 12 teams were going to be eliminated from the competition, which 8 teams were progressing straight to the final 16 knock-out stage, and which 16 teams were going to have to battle it out between themselves to progress to the final 16.

Play-Off Draw

The fixtures below will take place next to determine who will join the top eight teams in the Round of 16. The games will be played over two legs, with the teams who placed 17th to 24th having to play away from home for the second leg.
